British salesman Bob and retired barmaid Glo take their boat across the Atlantic in this four-part doc series about challenging adventures. It’s clear Glo wants to be more than just friends, and it’s pretty agonising watching her attempt to play down her feelings (especially after she’s hit the gin bottle – cook’s privilege). At least their relationship provides respite from the depressing footage of four people crammed into a small boat for weeks on end (‘animals in a tub’ as crew member Huw puts it). Still this could be useful viewing for those considering such an endeavour – as was the test voyage shown in the programme, which saw half the crew drop out. You can just feel their relief.
